CNIM Systèmes Industriels awarded Fonds Ukraine

CNIM Systèmes Industriels' ROCUS will contribute to mine clearance in Ukraine.

On June 7, 2024, the French and Ukrainian authorities signed a bilateral agreement to set up a fund to support critical infrastructure and priority sectors of the Ukrainian economy.

Endowed with 200 million euros, this fund is dedicated to the reconstruction and restoration of infrastructure in Ukraine, with the aim of guaranteeing the country's long-term functioning and economic resilience via the SESU (State Emergency Service of Ukraine).

As part of this support fund, CNIM Systèmes Industriels wanted to offer the ROCUS (Route Clearance Unmanned System) to help clear large areas of land of mines: agricultural fields, forests, building sites, etc...

The project as been selected by both SESU and French Ministry of Economy

Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, the country has become the most heavily mined in the world (an estimated 25% of its territory is mined).

The aim of the project is to enable rapid ground clearance while protecting operators, since the ROCUS is remotely operated. Operated out of sight, the ROCUS can inspect, confirm and neutralize a wide range of explosive threats. In this way, it will help to secure the movement of civilians, protect the environment, revive agriculture in the country and rebuild residential areas, for example.

The ROCUS is a tried-and-tested solution, with 7 robots already in operation in Ukraine (via our partner MILREM for just under 2 years), they give full satisfaction to users.
